How To Create A DIY Fairy Garden

How to create a DIY Fairy Garden...
Do you believe in fairies?
We certainly do!

When you think of what a fairy garden might be like, I usually picture a pretty little garden filled with magic.
Everything is tiny and cute. Things are pretty and it is a nice peaceful space where dreams come true.

With the weather now warming up for the best time of the year - spring, it is the perfect time to create your own fairy garden with the kids.
Boys and girls will both love creating these little gardens and it is a fun family activity.

Here is what we used to create our fairy world. It was inexpensive and easy to make, and you can definitely add extra props and things as you go.

Fairy props

FAIRY GARDEN ITEMS

1 x medium sized pot or container ( Kmart, or Bunnings are the cheapest for pots)

1 x small bag pebbles or coloured stones

1 x bag of potting mix

Fairy ornaments (These can be found at $2 shops and you can find all sorts from fairies, frogs, mushrooms etc)

1- 2 small plants – I used some pretty flowers from Bunnings for $9.

*Optional – If you decide to make your fairy garden, an indoor fairy garden, add some battery powered fairy lights from Kmart for extra sparkle!

Step 1 - Fill the container with potting mix and plant your little flowers or trees. Make sure you save room for your props.

Step 2 – Once you have planted your trees or flowers, give them a sprinkle of water.

Step 3 – Next, take your pretty pebbles and ornaments and place around the trees.

Step 4 – Add your fairy lights

Step 5 – Sprinkle some dust and make a wish!

Include the kids with weekly watering of the plants and if they are sad or need distraction, get them to make a wish and think happy thoughts at their fairy garden!

There you have it!
Your very own Fairy garden! Filled with wonderment and love.
Every Fairy Garden is unique so feel free to add all sorts of fabulous things. Moss, Faux leather, miniature chairs and tea sets. The list is endless.

Happy gardening!!
